Conferences
The University of Arkansas Department of Education Reform is pleased to announce the following conferences. These conferences account for one of the many ways the Department of Education Reform provides resources to administrators, teachers, policymakers and education leaders throughout the state and region. Conferences are typically free of charge and require registration. Please e-mail conference or event-related questions to mdn01@uark.edu.
Patrick J. Wolf is co-chair of the upcoming 2nd International Academic Conference on School Choice & Reform, January 18-21, 2013, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Robert Fox of the University of Hawaii is the other co-chair of the event. The conference promises to be the largest gathering to date of school choice researchers and consumers of choice research. Keynote speakers and plenary panelists will include Paul Hill of the University of Washington – Bothell, Jaap Dronkers of Maastrict University, Priscilla Wohlstetter and Jeffrey Henig of Columbia University’s Teachers College, Howard Fuller of Marquette University, Kevin Chavous of the American Federation for Children, Julio Fuentes of the Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options, Paul DiPerna of the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice, and Nihad Bunar of the University of Stockholm, among others.
